About
வாசிக்கும் பழக்கத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கவும், சிறந்த படைப்புகளை அடையாளம் காணவும், மினசோட்டாத் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் எடுத்த முன்னெடுப்புதான் — “வாசிக்கலாம் வாங்க”.
Started on World Book Day, April 23, 2024, this monthly online series brings a different Tamil writer into focus each session. A guest author or scholar joins live to discuss the writer's life, themes, and legacy — and everyone is welcome, whether they have read the works or not.
The club celebrated its first anniversary in April 2025 after ten consecutive monthly sessions, and has since grown to twelve sessions and counting.
- Meets monthly — online, open to all.
- Each session focuses on one Tamil writer or work.
- A guest author or scholar leads the discussion live.
- Writers covered include Jeyakanthan, Bharathiyar, Bharathidasan, Perumal Murugan, Azh. Valliyappa, and Sangam literature.

- Do I need to have read the book beforehand?
- It helps, but it is not required. The sessions are open discussions, not exams — come to listen and learn.
- Is it held in Tamil?
- Yes — the club reads and discusses Tamil literature in Tamil.
- Where do I join?
- Sessions are held online (Zoom) and announced through the newsletter and MNTS social channels each month.
- How often does it meet?
- Monthly. The club started on World Book Day (April 23, 2024) and has been meeting every month since.
